Favorite tradition at Camp?
I love the chapel talks before breakfast. I love being surprised by the leaders’ different stories and messages. Their voices and personalities really come through in those five minutes. (And I have designed a very successful writing assignment and speech that I do with my students every year that is largely based on the Dudley chapel talk.)

Favorite tradition at Camp?
When I was a leader, I used to wake up kids for the last sunrise of the season. I would grab some snacks and candy and take a list of everyone who wanted to get up during the dinner the day before. I would wake up around 5 am, get dressed and go from cabin to cabin waking up the boys. We would all gather in plebe plaza and then walk to North Point. We would watch the sunrise, reminisce about the season and then walk back for the final breakfast of the season..

Post

What do you do in the off-season?
I run a theater company that I founded; we go by Spiral Theater and we produce original plays in the Twin Cities. I have also worked for Project Success for nearly five years; Project Success works with Minneapolis Public Schools delivering social-emotional learning curriculum to middle and high school students. I spend my days in high school classrooms facilitating conversations, playing games and doing writing exercises that allow students to consider who they are, what they love, and how to follow a fulfilling path in life.

Favorite tradition at Camp?
Sundays are far and away my favorite days at camp. They showcase the best of everything camp has to offer: chapel, hymn sing, extended rest period and choice time, chapel, leader-staff sports, brass quartet, and so on. I love love love Sundays.

Geo Price

First Summer at Dudley: 2011

What is your favorite cabin at Dudley?
Post, can’t beat that view of the lake on the deck!

What do you do in the off-season?
I’m one of the climbing wall site managers/instructors for the NYC Outward Bound School and also a part-time youth instructor for the Brooklyn Bouldering Project.

Favorite tradition at Camp?
My favorite is definitely SNE (Senior Night Experience). They are so much fun to lead because you get to witness an entire cabin go through a very challenging experience and can see how together campers help each other gain the confidence to eventually go on their solo walk. Not only learn more about each other but also themselves. Nothing really beats the feeling of looking at the stars together as a group once everyone has completed their walk.
