Monique Jones, #25793

Princeton, NJ

About

Monique Jones is a Licensed Social Worker with years of experience in program management, community outreach, staff and curriculum development, and counseling youth and young adults from underserved communities in school, community group and faith-based settings.

A native of Oceanside, CA, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and African American Studies from Pepperdine University, a Master of Divinity degree with a concentration in Practical Theology and Women’s Studies from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Master of Social Work degree with a focus in Clinical Social Work from Rutgers University. Monique currently serves as the Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at the Stuart Country Day School in Princeton, NJ.

Introduced to Camp Kiniya through former board member, #23787 Robin Johnson, Monique quickly developed a great appreciation and affinity for the camp where her daughter, #24993 Aryianna, was a first-time camper in 2018. She has witnessed the effect of Kiniya’s motto, “The Other Fellow First,” on the lives of young girls as they exhibited it in word, song, team activities, cabin reflections, and excursions. Because living in community is so critical to the sustainability of a community, Monique is excited to bring her skills and experience to positively impact our world’s future leaders.
