Will “Wilbur” Long, #14158, returned to the year-round team in 2026 as Summer Operations and Community Engagement Coordinator. Since arriving at Dudley as a Cub in 1986, Wilbur has worn many hats at camp, through the leadership ranks to D-Head, many summers on Publications staff, and joining the year-round team in 2022 as Lead Carpenter, a role he held for three seasons. 

Many of Wilbur’s closest friendships began at Dudley, and he remains inspired by the lifelong impact camp has on generations of campers and leaders. Dudley has been a constant in his life for over 40 years, and he is grateful for the opportunity to give back to a place that has given him so much. In his new role, he looks forward to continuing Dudley’s connections with current and future families, supporting marketing, development, recruitment, and alumni engagement, and helping sustain the lifelong bonds that have always been at the heart of the Dudley community. The opportunity to spend summers at what he still considers the best place on earth is an added bonus! When not in Westport, Wilbur lives in Vermont with his wife, Lauren.
